Understanding HPV Awareness & Attitudes at UCSB

This project focuses on human papillomavirus (HPV) awareness, knowledge, and attitudes in UCSB undergraduates. Data will be collected through anonymous, self-administered surveys through Qualtrics, and will ask questions related to HPV, HPV vaccinations, Pap smears, and feelings about these issues. UCSB Student Health has also expressed interest in the results from this study to improve the accessibility of their services. An analysis of closed and open-ended questions will be used to describe trends and draw conclusions from the data. The overarching goal of this research is to encourage students to make informed decisions about their sexual health, specifically HPV.
