Title
Trust in the Classroom: How politics affect student and faculty engagement at UCSB
Abstract
The main focus of this project is to document and understand the direct impact of the political actions made by, but not limited to, the Trump administration on the BIPOC students and faculty of UCSB. I will specifically be measuring the impact on engagement, trust and interaction with each other, shaping the current campus climate. I aim to understand the way that politics have affected their mental and emotional states, and by consequence their academic/employment outlook. I attempt to discern how impact differs between students and faculty, what are the determinants of those differences, how do those differences affect the way both parties navigate campus relationships and trust in the university.
