Title
Hardware-in-the-Loop Testing Rig
Abstract
This project develops a flexible Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test platform for embedded systems, addressing the industry-standard need for rapid, automated validation across mixed-signal domains. Existing HIL frameworks focus on high-cost commercial systems; we extend prior student racecar bench-testing efforts by creating a modular emulator that interfaces with common communication protocols. The system supports ECU (Electronic Control Unit), inverter, and BMS (Battery Management System) emulation along with debugging through automated integration, configurable GUIs, and daughter-board expansion. This work enables repeatable multidisciplinary testing, reduces integration risk, and scales across future vehicle control projects.
