Evaluating the Role of Technology in Student Housing in California Higher Education

This research investigates how user centered technology and digital engagement can improve housing stability among California college students. Many students face financial stress and unreliable housing options due to limited access to verified student focused platforms. The study examines how design strategies that build trust, usability, and social connection enhance housing access and student well being. Using mixed methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing, the team will identify behavioral barriers to adoption and engagement. Guided by a Lean Startup framework, the project will refine the platform through continuous feedback to create equitable, scalable digital systems that strengthen housing security statewide.
