Do Children Identify Potential Teachers From Others’ Acts of Imitation?

This study is looking to see how children start to make sense of social influence. Children aged 4 to 7 years will view imitation and respond to questions about whom they would rather learn from. I predict children will learn better from someone who has been imitated by a lot of people. I believe this research will provide insight into who children believe to have expertise. I will contribute to this research through piloting, refining methods based on pilot data, pre-registering the study, collecting data, and analyzing the data before URCA week in May.
