Abstract

This scoping review examines evidence regarding post-traumatic growth (PTG), quality of life (QoL), and functional outcomes following MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD in adults. While clinical trials have primarily focused on symptom severity reduction, recovery from PTSD may also include improvements in well-being, psychosocial functioning, and positive psychological change. This review maps which broader outcome domains have been assessed, describes measures used, and identifies gaps in outcome measurement. A systematic search yields 636 records; 501 are excluded at title and abstract screening. Full-text screening of the remaining 135 studies is currently underway. Findings will inform future trial design and contribute to discussions on comprehensive outcome assessment in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy research.
