Project Description

A range of projects in the Sherman Lab are dedicated to advancing our understanding of how people cope with threatening events and information, and to developing psychologically-grounded interventions for pervasive social issues. Current issues the lab is focused on include: 1) barriers to sustainable environmental action and how to overcome them; 2) psychological factors impacting transition of military veterans into the workforce; 3) the role of culture in understanding pro-social behavior.

Undergraduate Contribution

Undergraduates run participants in studies, conduct data cleaning and analyses, attend meetings with graduate students and faculty where articles are read and new research studies are proposed, and conduct library research, among other research related tasks.
