The American Presidency Project is a major web resource providing a searchable database of, and analyses based on, presidential public documents. This includes speeches, remarks, interviews, orders, proclamations, messages, candidate debates, and other documents.
Students assist primarily in keeping the document set up to date, particularly with respect to documents that may be hard to get or require special preparation prior to publication. We also have special projects from time to time that may require student assistance. Student assistants are acknowledged on the website.
Most students have strong background in American politics or history. Political Science registration for RA credits typically assumes: UD, major, GPA>3.0. Highly qualified students are always welcomed from any major.
